The Windsor chair is part of our Classic Collection of handmade, budget priced rise and recline chairs.
The Windsor chair is available in two sizes (medium and grande) and in a choice of one motor (wallhugger), or two motors.(Please note that this model is shown as the Windsor Petite and Windsor Standard in the brochure. The Windsor Petite has been discontinued and replaced with the Windsor Grande, and the Windsor Standard is now called the Windsor Medium).
The Windsor chair is supplied with Vasco Foam as standard to the back, seat and arms.
You have a choice of fabrics from our main swatch book, but we are able to offer next day delivery of the chair if you would like to have the chair in Newton Wine (as seen in our brochure). There is a £10 upcharge for this requirement.
The Windsor chair is supplied with a split back styled back. Castors and two side pockets are supplied as standard.
The Windsor chair is handmade using hardwood frames.
There is a two year warranty on the mechanism and wood frame, and a one year warranty on all fabrics on the Windsor chair range.
If wishing to require one side pocket on a chair where side pockets are not included as part of the chair, please state which side you would like the pocket as if you were sitting in the chair.
Single motor rise recline chairs have just what their name implies a single motor! This is an
important difference to make as it fundamentally affects the reclining
action. The impact of only having one motor is that when the chair
reclines, the backrest and footplate move together or in a coordinated
fashion. Single motor chairs do not fully recline. It is normal for the
recline to only go back to an angle of 45 degrees. The upwards rising
function is exactly the same no matter whether the chair has a single
or dual motor
Optional Dual Motor:
As the name suggests, dual
motor chairs have two motors - one motor to control the footrest and
one motor to control the back rest. This gives the ultimate in
flexibility and allows you to find a reclined seating position to suit
you. In addition, a dual motor chair will recline fully, so is ideal if
you may need to sleep in your chair on occasions.
