A lot of people, myself included, have a wheelchair and a mobility scooter for different kind of use. My wheelchair is for everyday use and is easily lifted by hoist into my car (these are aviailable for mobility scooters too). My mobility scooter, an eight mile per hour Sterling, is for going out from home into town or the surrounding countryside. These days though for many just one mobility scooter of the right kind may be all that is needed since there is such a variety available. From the small light weight car boot ones easy to load and carry in a car to the larger more luxurious road going types. Prices vary greatly as does performance. My first mobility vehicle was a three wheel front wheel drive mobility scooter and I changed vehicles as my needs changed with part exchanges on other mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs. This experience means I am able to give first hand advice on what may suit you and don't forget we keep second hand ones too. Or you may be able to hire one to try before you buy.
