Walk In Baths come with a host of features, most of which should come as standard. However, some of the features will vary depending on which walk in bath supplier you use. Below is a list of features that you should receive as standard when you purchase any walk in bath:

 

Thermostatic Mixer valves- New legislation dictates that this is the most important safety feature and must come as standard with any walk in bath. Most bathers will be sitting within a walk in bath that is steadily filling with water .To avoid scalding and  the risk of burning . Slip resistance Surface - All walk in baths contain an anti slip surface ,an important safety feature..

 

Safety Bars - To help reduce the risk of slipping ,Walk in baths can be fitted with safety bars . This will ensure a safe means of entering and exiting the walk in bath..

 

Internal Seat - A walk in bath will contain a safe built in seat to aid your bathing.Traditional baths require you to lower yourself into the tub.This is unsafe and impractical for disabled people.

 

Quick Filling system - Each walk in bath will come with a system that quickly fills your bathtub. This is at a far greater speed than traditional baths .

 

Quick drainage system - Walk in baths all come with a standard quick drainage system . Simply because you will be sitting in the water

whilst the bath drains. As we know from bathing if you are in the water for a long period then the chance to catch a chill is magnified .

This is an important feature for the elderly and the infirm

 

Showers - All walk in baths will  include a built in shower unit . We are happy to install with either a wall mounted option or a hand held system.
